In the late 1980s, Ziva Gilad stood on the shore each morning. She watched visitors float in the mineral-rich water and cover themselves in the dark, ancient mud. Relief. They'd carefully gather the cool mud into jars and bottles, determined to take a piece of this unique place with them.
